HISTORY OF THE DEVELOPMENT

         The International Cooperation Department was established on August 1, 2016 according to Decision No. 2169 dated July 26, 2016 of the Rector of HUAF. The Department of International Cooperation has undergone a 44-year history of construction and development with the precursor of the Science and Technology Department established in 1972 beginning research work and widely deployed into a full movement. School

          In 1980, the room was renamed to the Department of Scientific Management. In the early 1980s, the school expanded the scale of training overseas students of Laos and Cambodia, receiving 15-20 international students each year.

          The period of 1980 to 2008 scientific research work developed strongly throughout the University. The school has chaired more than 80 topics at the State level, ministerial level, hundreds of topics at the University level and especially many scientific research projects that are awarded "Students of scientific research" by the Ministry of Education and Training and awards VIFOTEC.

          International cooperation activities continue to be interested and expanded, has built and implemented many international projects: GCP 012 AUL project funded by AIDAB organization for staff training; Project "Social Forestry Phase I" project "Phase II Social Forestry" funded by the Swiss Government; SUCOF project on continuous training funded by Finland, a project on biodiversity, ... Deploying international cooperation on training with TU.Dresden universities, Gottingen University (CNLB Germany) , expanding cooperation with Beijing Forestry Academy, Nanjing Forestry Academy (China), US, Canadian and Japanese universities etc.

          On July 8, 2008, the Department of Scientific Management was renamed into the Department of Science and Technology and International Cooperation. The Department has functions and duties: Advising and assisting the Principal in managing scientific research, technology transfer and international cooperation; information management, scientific database; interpreters and translators and permanent council titles of junior professors.

          From 2008 to 2016, with the orientation and interest of leaders, the School of scientific research and international cooperation has made a breakthrough development, contributing to affirm the leading position in forestry of the country. an important part in agricultural and rural industrialization and modernization. Scientists have carried out more than 200 topics at the State, sector and provincial levels; more than 1000 topics at the University, department level, subject and implementation of many international projects.

International cooperation has been developing strongly and effectively. Currently the school is cooperating with 65 universities and research institutes around the world and many international organizations. Advanced and high quality training programs with the United States and Germany, etc. are strong points of the University. The day-to-day publishing is focused by scientists, every year, the school staff publishes over 200 articles, including more than 20 international articles.

          By August 1, 2016, the International Cooperation Department was established with the function of advising and assisting the Principal in proposing guidelines, developing plans for organizing the implementation of the tasks and plans of activities.
