Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Toai, representing the university leadership, along with representatives from relevant faculties, institutes, and departments, held a working session with KIOXIA Corporation from Japan and Hai Phong Group to discuss specific cooperation activities in recruiting VNUF graduates to work for KIOXIA, one of the leading semiconductor manufacturing corporations in Japan and globally.

At the invitation of the President of Southwest Forestry University, a delegation from Vietnam National University of Forestry attended the Forum of Presidents of Forestry Universities in the Greater Mekong sub-Region, held in Kunming, China, from November 18 to 20, 2024.

On November 14, 2024, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) organized an international conference in Hanoi with the theme "Carbon Benefits from Sustainable Forest Management: Training, Research, and International Integration." The event attracted numerous experts and scientists both from Vietnam and abroad.

On the morning of November 9, 2024, at Vietnam National University of Forestry, a scientific seminar titled “Mangrove Carbon Measurement – Opportunities and Challenges: A Case Study of Vinh Chau Mangrove Forest” was held.

The need to enhance capacity for agricultural technical staff from the Lao People's Democratic Republic (Lao PDR) is significant. To address this demand, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) was selected to implement training programs.

At the invitation of the President and Party Secretary of Beijing Forestry University (BFU), China, a delegation from Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), led by Prof. Dr. Pham Van Dien – President, attended the Global Ecosystem Governance Forum. Accompanying him was Prof. Dr. Hoang Van Sam, Head of the Office of International Cooperation. The forum was held in Beijing on October 16 and 17, 2024.

On the afternoon of October 12, 2024, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held a working session and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Shandong Normal University (SDNU) to promote opportunities for cooperation in education, scientific research, and joint project development between the two universities.

On the morning of October 14, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) welcomed a delegation of experts from the United States Forest Service (USFS) for a working session.

As part of the series of activities leading up to the 60th Anniversary Celebration of Vietnam National University of Forestry (1964–2024), and to recognize achievements in training and scientific research, while reinforcing the increasingly extensive collaboration in human resource development between the College of Wood Industry and Interior Design (CWIID) and various organizations and enterprises, a conference with the theme "Orientation for Human Resource Development and the Application of New Technology in the Wood Processing and Furniture Industry" was held on September 27, 2024, with the approval of the University Leadership. The conference was jointly organized by CWIID and Minh Long Timber Group Corporation.

On September 5, 2024, the Vietnam National University of Forestry successfully organized a scientific workshop titled “Application of Technology in Urban Green Space Management”. The workshop was conducted under the framework of the research project “Application of Technology in Urban Green Space Management”, managed by the Ministry of Construction and led by the Vietnam National University of Forestry.

Pursuant to Decision No. 1259/QD-DHLN-HTQT dated September 20, 2024 of the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) on organizing training courses, the College of Land Management and Rural Development coordinated with the Farmers' Association of Bac Kan province to organize a training course: "Risk Management and Business Incubation for Forest and Farm Production Organizations in the Northern Mountainous Provinces of Vietnam" in Bac Kan city for 03 days from October 1 to 03, 2024 within the framework of the cooperation agreement between VNUF and the Forest and Farm Facility Project (FFF) Phase II of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Vietnam.

On October 7, 2024, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) worked with a delegation of German experts on a proposal relating to sustainable forest management and people's livelihood development.

On October 4, 2024, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union (FFF Project Management Board) organized a conference titled "Sustainable forest and farm development associated with rural livelihoods in the context of climate change."

On the afternoon of August 20, 2024, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) had a working session with Professor Andrea Cilloni from the University of Parma, Italy - the oldest university in Europe.

On the afternoon of April 5th, 2024, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation with National Penghu University of Science and Technology (NPU), Taiwan.

On July 26, 2024, the Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) and Yunnan Forestry Technological College, China, held an online meeting.

This was the comment of many international and domestic experts at the International Conference on Green Technology and Sustainable Development (GTSD 2024), held in Ho Chi Minh City on July 25, 2024. The conference was co-organized and chaired by four universities, including: Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF), National Penghu University of Science and Technology (NPU, Taiwan), and Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL, Thailand).

Within the framework of the CLIDEV project (Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Vietnam), as part of the 2024 action plan aimed at enhancing capacity for the application of advanced technology in forest and environmental resource monitoring research, from August 9, 2024, to August 11, 2024, a group of experts from the CLIDEV-VNUF project, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui The Doi, project leader, along with lecturers and experts from the Faculty of Forest Resources and Environmental Management, Faculty of Forestry, and the College of Land Management & Rural Development, organized the training course “Writing and Publishing Scientific Articles, Using UAVs in Forest Resources and Environmental Monitoring” (ToT on Article Writing for Publication & Using UAV in Forest Resources & Environmental Monitoring) at the main campus of Vietnam National University of Forestry in Hanoi.

Within the framework of the CLIDEV project (Climate Change Education for Sustainable Development in Vietnam), as part of the 2024 action plan to enhance the application of advanced technology in natural resource and environmental monitoring among the CLIDEV project’s member universities.

On the morning of August 28, 2022, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) held an international training workshop “ToT on Academic writing and conference presentation” within the framework of the project "Strengthening climate change education for sustainable development in Vietnam - CLIDEV” funded by Finnish government.
