NAGAO scholarship program in Vietnam 2018-2019

Nagao (Natural Environmental Foundation - NEF) is a non-governmental organization in Japan that provides scholarships to university students with the aim of promoting nature conservation in developing countries. The Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, VNUF is currently the sole representative agency of the NEF Foundation.

       

In order to implement the purpose of promoting research and nature conservation of the NEF Foundation, Institute of Natural Resources and Environment, VNU sends a notice of NAGAO scholarship program to Vietnam Forestry University with the aim of supporting high students. study their studies in the field of nature conservation, agricultural forestry, earth science and the environment for natural conservation and sustainable development. On behalf of NTU, the International Cooperation Department officially announced the scholarship information as follows:

1. Scholarship recipients:

- Being a Vietnamese citizen

- Being an excellent graduate student who is studying in the first year (2-year system) or the second year (3-year course) at Vietnamese training institutions in the biology, agro-forestry, or faculties learn about the earth and the environment

- Being a master student with a research topic on the management and conservation of natural resources, biodiversity, environmental science for natural preservation and sustainable development, giving special priority to applications members have field research.

- The members who are ethnic minorities or have difficult economic conditions will be given priority and consideration.

2. Process of reviewing and granting scholarships:

- Candidates apply for scholarships to the NAGAO Scholarship Executive Board according to the regulations and instructions in the following section;

- NAGAO scholarship review and approval council established by the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment will meet to review the application and select the candidates with the best academic achievements and research proposals to grant scholarships;

- Scholarships are granted twice in the first school year and the next school year;

- Students will receive scholarships for the first time after the NAGAO Scholarship Review Board reviews the research files and proposals, and is approved by the NEF Foundation;

- At the end of the school year, students are responsible for reporting learning results and progress of project implementation at the request of the Fund;

- The Board of Review and the NEF Foundation will assess the learning outcomes and work progress of students to submit the second scholarship decision.

- Students will receive the 2nd scholarship after fully submitting the results of the research project according to the original research proposal with guaranteed quality and approved by the Council.

3. Applications for scholarships include:

- Application for scholarship (01 English version and 01 Vietnamese version), Anchortheo attached form. The application must contain a full list of items. Application with certification from the training institution with signature and seal.

- Research outline (Vietnamese version). Candidates can refer to the "Anchor Guidelines for writing research proposals" on the website of the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment (www.cres.edu.vn) to prepare the outline. Please note, the form and content of the cover are mandatory with the outline, and the content and order of the items in the outline are not required, students can refer to, apply it to the study. my.

 - Transcript of subjects (for second year students) or entrance exam scores (for newly recruited students) certified by the training institution with signatures and seals; The transcript includes the subject / module with the score and the subjects / modules that have been studied but not the score (in this case the training institution should clearly confirm that there is no score).

- Letter of introduction (in English) by two professors / instructors to guide the topic or teach.

4. Application deadline:

Deadline for receiving applications is 16:30, Wednesday, October 31, 20183. For applicants who submit applications by post, the deadline for submission will be based on the time on the postmark.

The Review Board only reviews the documents sent on time and completes the required information. Selection results will be announced at the end of December 2018 on the website of the Institute of Natural Resources and Environment. Applications that are not selected will not be returned.

The Executive Board of NAGAO Scholarship Fund would like to request the Agency to notify the above-mentioned students and select the best graduate students at their training institutions.
