In the morning of December 14, 2019, Vietnam National University of Forestry (VNUF) and Vietnam - Finland Friendship Association, Embassy of Finland in Vietnam, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations held Vietnam-Finland Planting Day and celebrating 102 years of the Independence day of the Republic of Finland.

On the morning of November 15, 2019,VNUF solemnly held a ceremony to award Certificate of Excellent Contribution to Prof.Dr. Jurgen Pretzsch - Director of the Institute of International Forestry and Forest Products, Dresden Technology University, Germany, acknowledged outstanding contributions to the University.

In the morning of November 13, 2019, Prof.Dr. Tran Van Chu - the President of VNUF with Prof.Dr. Elena Kudryashova - the President of the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov had a meeting and signed a memorandum of cooperation of VNUF and NarFU. Attending the signing ceremony, there were directors from International Cooperation Division, Postgraduate Office, Faculty of Forest Resources and Environment Management.

In the framework of the 55-year Anniversary of Vietnam National University of Forestry's (VNUF) Foundation Program, on the morning of November 12, 2019, VNUF organized the International conference "Linkage of higher education, research and international integration to sustainable forest management and bio-economy".

Natural Resource Management (Natural Resource Management) is an advanced training program between Vietnam National University of Forestry - VNUF and Colorado State University, USA (Colorado State University - CSU). This sector has been officially implemented since 2009 in VNUF. This is a training program of the Vietnam Government Advanced Training Project implemented from 2005-2015.

Nhằm mở rộng ứng dụng công nghệ thông tin trong đào tạo và nghiên cứu khoa học trong lâm nghiệp, Chiều 11/12/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp phối hợp với Đại học Kagoshima, Nhật Bản và Công ty USOL Việt Nam tổ chức Hội thảo quốc tế Ứng dụng Công nghệ thông tin trong Lâm nghiệp.

Hội thảo được tổ chức ngày 23/11/2018 tại Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp, với sự tham gia của các chuyên gia, nhà quản lý, nhà khoa học và doanh nghiệp quan tâm nhằm đưa ra thảo luận các vấn đề liên quan tới phát triển bền vững sản phẩm Trầm hương Việt Nam.

Buổi tọa đàm chia sẻ về Hiệp định VPA/FLEGT giữa Việt Nam - EU và định hướng Hợp tác quốc tế của Tổng cục Lâm nghiệp. Hiệp định VPA/ FLEGT mở ra nhiều cơ hội đối với ngành Lâm nghiệp đặc biệt đối với Lâm sản Gỗ xuất khẩu vào thị trường thế giới. Nhằm thúc đẩy quan hệ hợp tác giữa Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp và Tổng cục Lâm nghiệp, chiều 08/11/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp tổ chức buổi tọa đàm về Hiệp định VPA/FLEGT và định hướng Hợp tác Quốc tế của Tổng cục Lâm nghiệp

Nhằm thúc đẩy việc trao đổi và tìm kiếm cơ hội hợp tác với các tổ chức trên thế giới, ngày 16/10/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức Hội thảo trao đổi hợp tác và giao lưu văn hóa giữa Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp và tổ chức Lương thực và Nông nghiệp Liên Hợp Quốc (FAO).

Sau thành công của hội thảo lần thứ I, với sự hỗ trợ của Chương trình UN-REDD Việt Nam và Chương trình Môi trường Liên Hợp Quốc tại Việt Nam, trong 02 ngày 21 - 22/6/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức Hội thảo “Mạng lưới các trường Đại học đào tạo về Biến đổi khí hậu và REDD+ tại Việt Nam” lần thứ II.

Trong 02 ngày 25-26/10/2018, Cơ quan Trao đổi Hàn lâm Đức (DAAD) phối hợp với Hiệp hội Hiệu trưởng các trường đại học Đức tiến hành tổ chức Hội thảo quốc tế: Tự chủ trường đại học.

Sáng 29/10/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức khai giảng Lớp bồi dưỡng nâng cao năng lực sư phạm cho đội ngũ giáo viên, giảng viên giảng dạy ngoại ngữ thuộc Đề án dạy và học ngoại ngữ trong hệ thống giáo dục quốc dân giai đoạn 2017 - 2025.

Chiều nay 22/10/2018, tại Đại học Lâm nghiệp Lãnh đạo Nhà Trường đã làm việc và ký bản ghi nhớ hợp tác với Viện Hàn lâm tài nguyên sinh học Giang Tây - Trung Quốc về hợp tác trong đào tạo, nghiên cứu khoa học và chuyển giao công nghệ.

Sáng 19/9/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức họp triển khai Đề án Ngoại ngữ Quốc gia 2020 dưới sự chủ trì của PGS.TS. Bùi Thế Đồi - Phó Hiệu trưởng Nhà trường.

Chiều 28/8/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã có buổi làm việc với chuyên gia và tình nguyện viên nước ngoài đang làm việc tại Trường.

Chiều 22/08/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã có buổi làm việc với Giáo sư Yeon Gyu Yu - Trưởng Khoa Khoa học và công nghệ - Trường Đại học Kookmin - Hàn Quốc.

Nhằm tăng cường sự phối hợp, hợp tác chặt chẽ và hiệu quả hơn nữa giữa hai đơn vị, chiều 16/8/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp và Tổng cục Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức hội đàm và ký kết Biên bản ghi nhớ hợp tác.

Chiều 10/8/2018, trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã có buổi làm việc với đoàn công tác đến từ Bảo tàng lịch sử tự nhiên Hoa Kỳ (AMNH) do TS. Mary E.Blair - Giám đốc trung tâm Đa dạng sinh học và Bảo tồn làm trưởng đoàn.

Sáng 08/6/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức họp triển khai Đề án Ngoại ngữ Quốc gia 2020.

Trong khuôn khổ Dự án Erasmus do Liên minh Châu Âu tài trợ (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students), Hội thảo “Xây dựng mạng lưới đào tạo sau đại học Việt Nam - Châu Âu về Lâm nghiệp bền vững và Kinh tế sinh học” đã được tổ chức tại Trường Đại học Đông Nam Phần Lan – thành phố Mikkeili, Phần Lan từ ngày 12 - 15 tháng 6 năm 2018.

Chiều 07/6/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã có buổi làm việc với PGS.TS. Peter Z. Fulé - Trường Đại học Bắc Arizona, Hoa Kỳ.

Trong khuôn khổ hợp tác giữa Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp và Viện nghiên cứu thực vật, Viện Hàn Lâm khoa học Ba Lan. Sáng 30/5/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức buổi trao đổi học thuật giữa cán bộ giảng viên, sinh viên Nhà trường với TS. Anna K. Jasinska - Viện nghiên cứu thực vật, Viện Hàn Lâm khoa học Ba Lan.

Nhằm thúc đẩy việc học tập và giao lưu văn hóa giữa sinh viên quốc tế và sinh viên Nhà trường, ngày 23/01/2018, Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp đã tổ chức buổi làm việc và giao lưu văn hóa, thể thao với đoàn công tác Trường Đại học KAYA, Hàn Quốc do GS.TS. Oh Se Woong - Giám đốc Trung tâm Hỗ trợ Tình nguyện quốc tế, Đại học KAYA làm trưởng đoàn.

Nhận lời mời của Hiệu trưởng Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp, sáng 23/01/2018, ông Istvan Bakos - Tham tán Kinh tế và Thương mại Đại sứ quán Hungary tại Việt Nam cùng đoàn công tác đã đến thăm và làm việc tại Trường.

Nhận lời mời của Hiệu trưởng Trường Đại học Eberswalde, CHLB Đức, từ ngày 17 đến ngày 21 tháng 01 năm 2018, Đoàn cán bộ của Trường Đại học Lâm nghiệp gồm GS.TS.
